Enroling in Courses

We collect information about you during the checkout process for courses.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Courses you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you courses you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of basket contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Course Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased and when it was purchased, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Payments

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

How we share your information

We will not share, rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others.  We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of Flúirse Limited e.g. on servers or databases provided by our hosting provider.  Management, security and integrity of data storage are under the direct responsibility of our hosting provider company and are governed by the privacy policy of the organisation providing the hosting service. Storage and Processing. The information we collect about you through Flúirse Teacher CPD may be stored and processed  by our third-party hosting provider.  The management, security and integrity of data storage are the direct responsibility of our hosting provider and are governed by the privacy policy of those hosting organisations.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service such as Akismet.

How we protect your information

Flúirse is concerned with protecting your privacy and data but we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or guarantee that your information on Flúirse Teacher CPD “Site” “Service” may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our Business standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards.  When you enter sensitive information (such as log in credentials) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We use external third-party payment processors such as Stripe to process your payment when you book a course.  These third-party payment processors do not retain share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.  Your interactions with these external payment processing organisations are governed by their own privacy policies.

Access and retention of data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. For existing/current Flúirse Teacher CPD users , you can review, correct, or update your current profile by logging into your profile e.g. to update your password.  We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.  If you wish to delete or export your account data, please contact us directly at [email protected].

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Caching and CDN

This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.

We may use Cloudflare as a CDN. Cloudflare processes information that include but is not limited to IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other information about traffic to and from our website. We may use Jetpack for image processing and as an image CDN. Jetpack does not collect any information from you while providing this service.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

HOTJAR

We may use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user.
